Around 20 years ago, archaeologists uncovered a vast ancient cemetery near Turpan in the Gobi Desert, Xinjiang. This site, attributed to the Gūshī culture, revealed remarkably well-preserved human remains and artifacts. Among the most intriguing discoveries was a tomb containing 789 grams of Cannabis sativa, used for medicinal and spiritual purposes.
